These earrings feature antique, mother-of-pearl Chinese gambling counters with motifs dating back to the 18th Century. Originally carved in China for export to Britain, they were used like we would use poker chips. Different sizes and shapes were made to represent different denominations.

The antique gaming counters are set in 18k yellow gold and blackened sterling silver. The setting is handmade by jewelers in Los Angeles.
